Queens Only Level 1 (Morning)

Course Overview:The Queens Only Range Day is an opportuntiy for women to practice and learn with other women.  Students will have the opportinity to practice learned skills with their own firearm in a safe, welcoming environment.

Whether you are a first-time gun owner or looking to enhance your existing skills, this course provides a supportive and educational environment to explore the fundamentals of pistol shooting. From safety protocols to marksmanship techniques, participants will receive hands-on training to develop a solid foundation for responsible and effective firearm use.

Introduction to Firearms Safety

• Overview of firearm safety principles.
• Understanding different types of pistols and their components.
• Range safety rules and etiquette.

Pistol Fundamentals

• Proper pistol grip, stance, and body positioning.
• Sight alignment and sight picture for accurate shooting.
• Trigger control and managing recoil.

Loading and Unloading Procedures

• Step-by-step guidance on loading and unloading a pistol.
• Chamber checking and clearing malfunctions.
• Dry-fire drills to reinforce safe handling techniques.

Live-Fire Range Sessions

• Guided live-fire practice with certified instructors.
• Shooting at paper targets from a fixed postion.
• Individualized coaching and feedback.

Understanding Ammunition

• Overview of different types of ammunition.
• Ammunition selection for personal defense.
• Safe storage and handling of ammunition.

Graduation and Continued Training Options

• Certificate presentation and celebration of achievements.
• Discussion of further training opportunities and resources.

Note:This course is designed to create a supportive and comfortable environment for women to learn and practice essential pistol skills. Participants are encouraged to bring their own firearms, but rentals may be available. All safety guidelines and range rules must be strictly followed. This course aims to empower women with the knowledge and skills needed to confidently and responsibly handle pistols for personal defense.

If you do not yet own your own handgun we will have pistols available for rent on the day of the event.  Our website host does not allow us to make firearm related transactions. If you wish to rent a pistol the day of the event, the cost is an additional $15 and includes the use of a BGOA provided pistol. We will also have  50 round boxes of ammunition available for $30 per box.  Be prepared to shoot at least 100 rounds of ammo during the class.

This is a very popular event and space is limited.  Get your tickets now to reserve your spot. Tickets MUST be registered in the name of the person attending.  If you are purchasing multiple tickets, enter the name of the person attending for each ticket.

Event will be held rain or shine and refunds are not available under any circumstances.
