Kagwerks Level 1 Pistol and Carbine

The Oakland / Bay Area Black Gun Owners Association is proud to be partnering with Kagwerks to bring our members a two day, level 1 pistol and carbine tactical training course.  If you've done some training and now are ready to take it up a level, this is the course for you.  

Day one will be focusing on pistol work. Starting with stance, grip, sight allignment and picture, trigger control, and follow through.  We will then progress to moving while shooting, multi-target drills, emergency and tactical reloads, using cover to your advantage, situational awareness, cognitive drills, and more. 

Day two will be the same basics, but with a carbine. We will then progress to moving while shooting, multi-target drills, emergency and tactical reloads, using cover to your advantage, situational awareness, and cognitive drills. Rifle to pistol transitions will be covered as well as type 1, 2, and 3 malfuntions and what to do about them.

PLEASE BE AWARE! This is NOT a beginner course. You are expected to know the basic funtions of your firearms.  If you are not there yet, BGOA will be offering Beginner training days earlier in the year so you can get up to speed.

Required equipment includes a semi automatic pistol, holster with mag pouches, semi automatic rifle (AR-15, AR-9 or AR-10), rifle sling, as well as ear and eye protection. Bring a minimum of 700 rounds ammo for each firearm.  A mimimum of 3 magazines for each firearm is recommended (five would be bettter). 

It is also recommended to bring knee pads, water, food for the day (we break for lunch and there is food nearby) and speed loaders if you have them.
