Course Overview:Building upon the foundational knowledge acquired in the beginner AR-15 class, this intermediate course is designed for individuals seeking to enhance their skills with the AR-15 platform. Participants will engage in a combination of advanced  instruction and practical range exercises to deepen their understanding of AR-15 operation, marksmanship, and tactical applications.
Duration:
- 4 hours (can be adjusted based on class pace and size)
Prerequisites:
- Successful completion of a beginner AR-15 class or equivalent experience.
Lecture:
- Advanced AR-15 Operation:In-depth exploration of the AR-15 gas system Understanding and adjusting for different barrel lengths and profiles Customization and modification considerations
- Ballistics and Ammunition Selection:Intermediate understanding of ballistics Selecting appropriate ammunition for different purposes Advanced reloading techniques
- Accessories and Optics:Exploration of advanced optics and accessory options Proper mounting and zeroing of optics Understanding and utilizing ancillary equipment
Practical Range Exercises:
- Dynamic Shooting Drills:Engaging multiple targets Shooting on the move Rapid target acquisition and engagement techniques
- Advanced Malfunction Drills:Identifying and addressing complex malfunctions Immediate action drills under time constraints Malfunction clearance in various shooting positions
- Scenario-based Training:Simulated real-world scenarios to apply learned skills Stress-inoculation exercises Decision-making under pressure
Additional Information:
- All participants must bring their own AR-15, optics, and appropriate accessories.
- 150-200 rounds of ammunition.
- Participants are encouraged to wear appropriate tactical gear, including a sturdy belt, and magazine pouches.
Upon completion of this intermediate AR-15 class, participants will possess a heightened level of proficiency and confidence in handling the AR-15 platform in dynamic and tactical situations, setting the stage for further advanced training.

Event will be held rain or shine and refunds are not available under any circumstances.
Lastly, Bay Area BGOA is now an official partner of the USCCA. Â This means students will have the opportunity to become USCCA members and recieve self defense liability insurance. Â Many of our officers and trainers have had this policy even before our club was a USCCA partner. Â If you own a gun it's a good idea to look into this. Â We will a USCCA rep on site the day of the event to discuss what they offer.
